I just got diagnosed with an STD. it is herpes but it;s not the infected looking sores kind, it is just that I am a host that carries the gene and can pass it on if I have a flare up or something. Should this stop me from going to a sex worker even if I am making sure to be safe and protect everyone. I would never pass anything along, Ijust want to keep putting that out there. But like this is my life now and I do not want to miss out on anything because of it. I just want to do it safely.

I would say if you keep an eye on it and make sure you are totally safe, that it should be fine. I know lots of people who are having amazing safe sex with someone and they do not have any problems. it is manageable and you are putting the work in to make sure that it all goes over well. You are doing the best you can and there is nothing wrong with that mate.

Whateer, at this point I think we all have HPV am I right? That is not a joke, I feel like everyone seriously now has HPV. THere is no way we do not like if are born after 1980, you totally have it. I just feel like this is true.

I would say just keep an eye on it. Things could be worst and you do not actively want to sprea it around and you seem very open about the whole thing so you will probably be all good. You are doing your part of the job which is getting checked out and taking your meds and keeping a close eye on it. I think you will be fine but I would just be honest with them. Leave it up to them to decide if that is something you want.

It's not really looking good and you have to stop having sexual intercourse for a while cos it might infect others.

I know that you emphasized on making sure sure to do it safely but lets be honest here, we know that it's not a guarantee but I don't think it should stop you either. I think it would be in the best interest if you inform the sex worker about your condition and let her decide whether to agree or not. In that way she'll have an idea of what she might get and it will avoid blaming each other at the end if things go wrong.

Its really not good, honestly. But insuring that you will not pass anything is also important. Having sexual intercourse is not a problem as long as you check yourself. And also, it would be better if you control yourself and not doing sexual activities every now and then.

I think this is a really important topic but studies shows that you can still have sex even if you have STD only if you are fully protected and you get regular check ups.

better let it completely heal and be mindful of your intercourse. Like you mentioned, doing it safely so your sexual activities will not be compromised. 😉

yes, agreed on this one

I wouldn't be confident in meeting or having sex with other people if I have one. I would definitely focus on healing it before going out again because we never know what could happen if we take it lightly...

Hmmmm, stop stereotyping. There are people with STD's who are responsible and really do the best practice so they can't harm or affect others.

I wouldn't advice it though, better be safe than sorry.

let you future partners know the whole situation and let them decide for them self, better to be safe then sorry, take your time

It’s not good to attend an encounter with an escort if you know you have an STI. It’s true that you can control it and if you use good protection you can have sex again, but if it’s recent it’s advisable for you to abstain for a while.
