I was browsing the SAAFE website and saw a thread on Escort Ireland, and saw this book 'Elis' written by Anna Rajmon mentioned.
Basically a memoir of her time as an escort in Ireland, and seems to be pretty gritty going by the Amazon reviews.
I've bought it and am going to start reading it tonight. Just curious - did anyone here meet her? Have any of you read it?

It's an interesting, and pretty horrific, look behind the curtain of this industry. I'm very glad she got out, for she went through a lot.
It's given me a lot to think about.
I'm sure that a lots of escorts went through difficulties doing the job. Also i know a lot of those who are established and happy with their job. I think it's important to set some boundaries and rules and stick with it if you want to thrive in escorting.

There was a big thread about this book on the escort ireland website a while back, and some of the lads there said they thought she was established and happy too.
You can set boundaries and rules, but you can't guarantee them being respected. If you doubt me, read the book.

Yeah its an eye opener all right. I dont think what happened with her happens to every girl, but it probably happens to more than we think.

There probably are, but how do we know the difference between those who are happy and those who aren't? And alldat has a point about boundaries, as Elis had them and it meant nothing to the scumbags she describes.

Yes i agree with you. It's extremely stressful business, especially during the initial years, starting from zero and meeting people you've never met before. Established escorts have regular clients and are fully booked at most times. There is minimal chance of encountering a problem for them.

I think you should read the book, mate. This was a lot more than just teething problems for an inexperienced escort. I'm not sure how much I can say about it here, but it really makes you think twice about this whole business.

I did. Sorry I didn't get back to you. Jaysus, what a bunch of childish tossers the lads there are. Whining about being named when it's their online usernames being used. They're happy to say what they like about the girls, but can't stand it when one of the girls says something about them.
You notice, there's roughly 1000 girls on that website, and only about 3 of them felt they could say anything.
